Hello all! I hope the writing has come out clearly, otherwise there would have been no point in writing it all out!
Over the last few months I've gone back to my book worm self (I haven't seen that girl in years) , and it's made me think about how books make us feel and their affect on us. When you read a book you escape from the dull norm of your life and step into someone else's. You become so absorbed in this new world that you become attached to the characters and care about them like they are your own family and friends, and you become so wrapped up in the story that you even start worrying about things that aren't actually happening to you, like battling demons or escaping from hostage. So that's what I tried to convey in this piece.
Originally I was going to have images in the cloud but then I couldn't think of what to draw so instead I filled it with quotes from some of my favourite books. I used colour to outline the idea of escaping to another place, like it brings excitement and colour into our lives.
The quotes are from:
The mortal instruments series by Cassandra Clare
The Fallen series by Lauren Kate
The Gone series by Michael Grant
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The wicked Lovely Series by Melissa Marr
and the quote in the middle is from Anna Quindell
Ah I love infernal devices! Though I haven't finished them all yet!
Ah beautiful creatures was good! Though I never read the other books in the series, not sure why.
TMI final book out this weekend! *dances*
